EL8 is a mild steel solid wire designed for Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) of carbon steels. It produces smooth weld beads with low spatter, excellent slag detachability, and good mechanical properties when used with suitable flux. The weld deposit offers good ductility and impact toughness for both single and multi-pass welds.
