Everything you need to know about buying on WiftHub

1. Getting Started as a Buyer

Creating Your Account

  1. Click the "Join Free" button in the top right corner of any page
  2. Select "Buyer" or "Both" as your account type
  3. Fill in your email address and create a secure password
  4. Complete your profile with business information (optional but recommended)
  5. Start browsing immediately - no email verification required to browse!

Pro Tip:

Complete your profile to receive personalized product recommendations and build trust with suppliers.

2. Finding Products

Using Search

  • Keyword Search: Use the search bar at the top to search by product name, keywords, or category. Try terms like "laptop", "office furniture", or "industrial machinery"
  • Filter Results: On the Products page, use filters to narrow by category, price range, minimum order quantity, and supplier location
  • Browse Categories: Click "Products" in the main navigation, then select from categories like Electronics, Textiles, Machinery, Food & Beverage, and more

Navigate to Products β†’ Browse by Category to explore:

Electronics & Technology

Laptops, smartphones, components, IoT devices

Industrial Equipment

Machinery, tools, factory equipment

Textiles & Apparel

3. Understanding Product Pages

When you click on a product, you'll see detailed information:

Product Information

  • β€’ Product Name & Description: Detailed overview of the product
  • β€’ Price: Displayed in your selected currency (USD, EUR, INR, GBP, CNY, JPY)
  • β€’ Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ): The smallest order the supplier will accept
  • β€’ Category & Keywords: Help you find related products
  • β€’ Images: Multiple product photos (click to enlarge)

Supplier Information

  • β€’ Company Name: Click to view full supplier profile
  • β€’ Location: Where the supplier is based
  • β€’ Rating & Reviews: Feedback from other buyers
  • β€’ Contact Button: Opens direct messaging with the supplier

Actions You Can Take

  • β€’ Save Product: Click the heart icon to save for later (appears in Dashboard β†’ Saved Products)
  • β€’ Request Quote: Send a formal quote request with your specifications
  • β€’ Contact Supplier: Start a direct conversation through Messages

4. Requesting Quotes

How to Request a Quote

  1. From Product Page:
    • Click the "Request Quote" button on any product page
    • Fill in quantity, specifications, and any special requirements
    • Submit and wait for supplier response
  2. From Request Quotes Page:
    • Navigate to Products β†’ Request Quotes
    • Fill in detailed requirements (product name, quantity, specifications)
    • Multiple suppliers matching your needs will receive your request
    • Compare responses in your Messages

Best Practices for Quote Requests:

  • βœ“ Be specific about quantities and specifications
  • βœ“ Mention your timeline and delivery requirements
  • βœ“ Include budget range if possible
  • βœ“ Ask about payment terms, shipping costs, and warranties
  • βœ“ Request samples if purchasing large quantities

5. Communicating with Suppliers

Using the Messaging Center

Access your messages from:

  • β€’ Click the Messages icon in the main navigation (shows unread count)
  • β€’ Or navigate to Dashboard β†’ Messages when logged in

Message Features

Real-time Conversations: Send and receive messages instantly
File Attachments: Share product specs, contracts, and other documents
Message History: All conversations are saved and searchable
Notifications: Get notified of new messages (Dashboard β†’ Notifications)

Communication Tips:

  • β€’ Be professional and clear in all communications
  • β€’ Keep records of agreements and terms discussed
  • β€’ Respond promptly to build good relationships
  • β€’ Use WiftHub messaging for all business communications

6. Managing Saved Items

Saved Products

Keep track of products you're interested in:

  • β€’ Click the heart icon on any product card or detail page
  • β€’ Access saved products from Dashboard β†’ Saved Products
  • β€’ View all product details, supplier info, and pricing
  • β€’ Quickly contact suppliers or request quotes from saved items
  • β€’ Unsave by clicking the heart icon again

Saved Suppliers

Build your network of trusted suppliers:

  • β€’ Save suppliers from their profile pages
  • β€’ Access from Dashboard β†’ Saved Suppliers
  • β€’ View supplier details, ratings, and product catalog
  • β€’ Quickly message or view their storefront

7. Managing Orders

Tracking Your Orders

Access your order history from Dashboard β†’ Orders:

  • View All Orders: See complete order history with status, dates, and amounts
  • Order Status: Track as orders move from Pending β†’ Processing β†’ Shipped β†’ Delivered
  • Order Details: Click any order to view full details, supplier info, and tracking
  • Contact Supplier: Message suppliers directly about specific orders

Order Status Meanings

β€’ Pending: Order placed, awaiting supplier confirmation

β€’ Processing: Supplier confirmed and preparing your order

β€’ Shipped: Order dispatched, tracking information available

β€’ Delivered: Order successfully delivered to you

β€’ Cancelled: Order cancelled by you or supplier

8. Managing Your Account

Access account settings from Dashboard β†’ Settings:

Profile Settings

  • β€’ Update your name, email, and contact information
  • β€’ Add or change your company name
  • β€’ Set your business location

Account Type

  • β€’ Switch between Buyer, Seller, or Both
  • β€’ Changes take effect immediately
  • β€’ Unlock seller features by switching to "Seller" or "Both"

Preferences

  • β€’ Select your preferred currency (USD, EUR, INR, GBP, CNY, JPY)
  • β€’ Toggle dark mode on/off
  • β€’ Manage notification preferences

Security

  • β€’ Change your password regularly
  • β€’ Review active sessions
  • β€’ Enable two-factor authentication (coming soon)

Tips for Successful Buying

Research Thoroughly

Compare multiple suppliers, read reviews, check ratings, and verify business credentials before committing to large orders.

Start Small

Order samples or small quantities first to verify product quality before placing bulk orders.

Communicate Clearly

Be specific about requirements, ask questions, and clarify all terms before finalizing transactions.

Build Relationships

Develop long-term relationships with reliable suppliers for better prices and service over time.
